The goal for this dive was to map the site, note the condition of the site, obtain fish counts and video benthics.
This site is made up of materials from the old Riviera Beach Marina pilings and docks. It has been deployed in several stages beginning in 2011, with the most recent being 2,276 tons in February 2014 from the Flagler Bridge demolition.
It was great to see the healthy amount of growth on this site, including sponges and algae. There was a variety of fish including Southern Sennets and Triggerfish who were very interested in my camera, Amberjacks and a Stingray. Several Lionfish were eradicated.
There was some sand coverage in some areas and scouring in others. This was an amazing dive and all team members are excited to dive it again.

The goal for this dive was to map the perimeter of the site, note the condition of the site, obtain fish counts and video benthics.
The site is made up of a 195’ barge with 6,500 tons of rock. The mapping team started out on the SW rock pile and did a counter clockwise tour of the site, ending on the NE rock pile. This is a great site consisting of a lot of varying relief with plenty of spaces for fish to hide and benthics to attach to.   Fish noted on this dive were: lots of Creole Wrasse, Trumpetfish, a Green Moray Eel and Blue Dartfish. Cactus Coral was present and some bleaching of hard corals was noted.
